The community education has consistently scored above the national average. Spring Hill students score above the national average on Iowa Test of Basic Skills as well as exceed State AYP goals for all schools. In addition, the school district has achieved one or more "Standards of Excellence" in reading, mathematics, social studies, and science.

The Spring Hill High School collaborates with Johnson County Community College to provide “College Now” and “Quick Step” College Credit Programs.
